SELF-MASTERY

There are people who set their goals so low, that they are aiming for the very failure they are fearing. These are people who “know themselves” so well that they expect failure. They never risk, because their life experience has told them that they will fail before they even try. The world somehow is against them. These people do not know themselves. If they knew their true selves, they would know a genius, someone born to succeed. So what these people know instead, is a lie that they have come to believe as truth.

The path of self mastery is the path of exposing these lies, and at the same time, discovering the Truth about ourselves. The Truth is that we are perfect and only believe that we are not. The Truth is that there are no failures, only opportunities. The Truth is that we WILL accomplish anything we believe we can. If we believe we will accomplish failure, we do. If we believe that we will accomplish success, we will.

We choose what to believe. We choose to persist at a worthy goal. We choose to set the worthy goal. There is no more worthy goal than Self-Mastery. This goal is made up of three parts:

  • 1. Understanding and taking joy in believing that each of us has a unique gift to offer the world and that we are able to present that gift when we are our truly authentic selves.
  • 2. Discovering (which is really remembering) what that truly authentic self is.
  • 3. Sharing who we are with the world.


When we live believing the lies that tell us that we are not good enough, smart enough, or any other message that tells us we are undeserving, then our lives are spent trying to attain something from outside ourselves, that only we have the power to give to ourselves. We are born worthy. Being unworthy is a self-defeating belief, but not the Truth. Shedding those limiting and self-defeating beliefs is part of the journey to self-mastery, because until we do, we are not our truly authentic selves.

ALLOW IT TO HAPPEN...



No matter what is the situation, it is ok or not. Because that’s the way it is, what you can do about it. Do you understand?  So see, whatever the situation is, that is the situation; what you are going to do?  Is it ok or not? That is what God has created, you see.  So, by being with whatever there is, what will happen to you?  Yes, you are released. You are released, then, you are released. Not that, other things are not ok, but what happens when you get involved in the game, and then you start making this thing more important than the other things; you start getting upset, because things are not going the way you wanted.  So for 15 minutes, we release this knot, say everything is ok; come back to everything is ok.
You release the knot every time.  So you go on doing this, releasing the knot, you will always remain without getting caught; later on, you will never get caught in anything or you can enjoy everything that is going on.  Anything means anything.  You will start being able to see that even the worst thing that is happening is a necessity; that is why it happened. You understand or not, that it is not necessary; because it is necessary, it happened.  You will begin to have a much different perspective of life. Rather than making the thing right or wrong, you will just see that everything that is going on is because that’s the way it is supposed to go on, that’s all.

The Secret of Richness


  The Law of Borrowing…newer paradigm of freedom

  • Who borrow and enjoys his life and dies or the one who hoping that he has got a bank account and then dies without enjoying.
  • Who is rich? The person who has got a big bank account or who has taken the loan from the bank and enjoying himself?
  • Life is not about paying your debts.
  • To be happy you have to do nothing. To realize that everything is ok itself makes one happy.
  •  No Amount of Money you possess will ever make you rich. Only by turning upside down you will suddenly feel that everything is wonderful.

  Richness starts from within and not without
  • Struggling is a useless phenomenon.
  • Everything seems to just go on by itself without any strain.
  • So if you want to produce results in the world, you have to start from within not without.

Richness is in seeing that there is richness
  • You can never be richer or poorer than others.
  • Only you can make yourself rich by seeing that everything is ok or vice versa.
  • Sharing your richness is not giving away your property. It really happens when you are feeling full and satisfied within.

To be rich posses nothing
  • If you possess something, then you are always feeling that I have this much only. I don’t have extra.
  • To be rich you posses nothing. Only  if you realize that nothing is mine, you can be really rich.
  • Riches can be taken away but richness cannot be taken away.
  • So to be rich, give up all the rights. This means learning to let go.
  • To be rich requires trust not work and manipulation.

Time Management for Salespeople




1. Outlier sales calls

Sales calls can mess up your whole schedule quickly if they’re not managed. The biggest culprit is the outlier sales call. You know this call, it’s the one visit that is on the fringe of your territory. It’s a 3-4 hours to drive. And doesn’t seem like it’s always a small opportunity? Instead of seeing this call as a 6-8 hour travel investment to make a deal that had better be worth it, see it as an opportunity to visit others. Do you have other clients in the area? Why not stop in, but have a purpose to the visit. Bring a cheat sheet. Drop off info about a new offering. Meet the new owner. Discuss training options.
If you have no clients in the area, then turn it into a prospecting road trip. Check the route to see how many prospects are on the way. Contact them and map them out in advance of your trip. Even if you don’t secure a sales meeting, you can introduce yourself and set the stage for a future meeting. Now that sales call to one outlier account could multiple into opportunities with 4 of 5.

2. Scheduled prioritization
Most sales people can honestly say there are “dead days” or “dead times-of-day” when getting in front of a prospect is next to impossible. Use this time to get your other sales related tasks done and remember to assign time limits to these tasks. If your mornings are dead, use this time to cold call and set up appointments – from 6am to 11am. If no one gives you the time of day on Fridays, use it as your office day – check and submit your deals, go through emails, complete expense reports, return all those non-prospect phone calls. There will be exceptions, when you schedule a sales visit on an “office day”, but it’s far easier to manage exceptions than have everything working in dis-accord, and taking far longer to complete than it should.


3. Use your resources
Top reps know they can’t do it all, especially for complex sales, and they lean heavily on their resources. If you have an account manager who takes care of the day-to-day tasks with your clients, then let them do it. If you have various product specialists, leverage their expertise in your sales calls. Bring them along, or join them in by web seminar or by phone. Be sure to stay in the loop, so you don’t lose track of your prospect. Use your sales support team to answer any questions you have, instead of trying to find the answers yourself. Listen and take notes during team meetings or kickoff events. Presenters are usually informing you of tools that are out there that can help you in your job. Make note of which ones to use when, and where to find them – or at a minimum, of the person who can get you the tool.  


4. Managers – survey your team
Sometimes a sales person needs outside time management help. See how your team measures up. Create your own benchmarks. And don’t forget to share with the whole organization, not just sales as many other departments contribute to the sales process and sales productivity.

Techniques to become a Good Time Manager



1. Batching Tasks
Each time you start a new task it takes time to “warm up”, you have to gather all the materials you need and it takes a while before you find a flow. Once you are done you need to put everything away, which wastes several minutes as well. By spending longer time on each task you decrease the amount of time you spend “Warming up” 
and “Cooling down” every day.

2. Planning Your Weeks
By organizing your weeks to streamline processes and batch tasks you will save a lot of time. It also grants you the calm to know that you will be doing all your tasks during the week. I have noticed in myself, and others, that it is easy to feel as though I should be doing more each day, but once I started using a weekly schedule I didn’t need to feel this way, since I knew the tasks would be handled at the right time.

3. Prioritizing you day
Most of us fail to start with the most important (and often most time consuming) task. Instead we hide and do simple tasks such as checking our email.The problem with that approach is that it leaves the most difficult tasks to the end of the day. If you instead organize your day to have the most difficult tasks first and then have them getting easier and easier. It will motivate you to work faster since your day will be over once you have finished the final simple task.

How to Manage Your Own Business


Managing your time is easy when you only have a few assigned tasks. However, when you have your own business, you must manage everything, from the smallest details to the largest ones.

Write a business plan (see Resources). If you expect to obtain any kind of financing, you will need a formal business plan. If you are not seeking financing,you still need something written down.It doesn't matter if it's only a few pages or if it's very lengthy,you must have something on paper so that you will know where your business is going.

Ensure that you are following all legal codes and regulations. This includes business licensing, collecting sales taxes (if necessary) and maintaining all the proper employee paperwork. You also need to ensure that you are paying all taxes you owe by the deadlines. Consult with an attorney for further details, or see if you can find a small business advisor.

Keep track of all of your sales and expenses. No matter what type of business you are managing, you are selling something either time or a physical product. You must have a system for keeping tracking of this. Also,you need to keep track of all business-related expenses and receipts. Using Quick-books can be of great assistance, but some prefer to use a customized Excel sheet. Others avoid the computer and use a hand ledger. Do what works for you. Keep your business and personal expenses separate. You must have a separate business account.

Make a list of all tasks that need to be completed. Plan how you and/or your staff are going to complete them and meet the deadline. Do not be afraid to delegate.Give feedback to your employees or contractors on a regular basis. This could be weekly, monthly, quarterly or yearly. If you work by yourself, request feedback from your clients by sending them an email survey or putting a survey in the mail with a return envelope that is stamped.

Re-evaluate your business plan on a regular basis. See if you are progressing or remaining stagnant. Determine if market conditions indicate that you need to change focus.
